Matheus Gabriel Pinheiro Barros is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt competitor and instructor from Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. He began training at age 8 and later moved to the United States to train with the Checkmat team. Gabriel is regarded as one of the top featherweight competitors of his generation, earning multiple IBJJF World Championship titles at black belt and winning major Pan American and Brazilian National events in gi and no-gi. He has also competed on elite professional stages, including ONE Championship, and is known for a high-percentage submission game.
