Rubens Charles — known as Cobrinha, a nickname earned in his capoeira days for his agility and flexibility — is one of the most decorated featherweight competitors in BJJ history. Originally from Londrina, Brazil, his talent was identified by Fernando Terere, under whom he trained before joining Alliance. A three-time ADCC champion and multiple IBJJF World Champion, Cobrinha built his reputation on an aggressive, relentless pace that kept opponents constantly off balance. He has since developed a long career as an instructor, working with competitors at every level of the game.
